A Direct Access connection is a form of always-on VPN connection that lets you access PATH resources, from anywhere with an internet connection, without first having to manually connect to VPN. Here's how to tell if you have a Direct Access connection established.
Step-by-step guide
- Go to your wireless network settings, near the system time.
- At the top of the connection list you should see the Workplace Connection with the status: Connected. This indicates you have a direct connection to PATH secure, internal network. This should connect automatically, as long as you have an Internet connection.
- You can further verify your connection by clicking the Workplace Connection above to view the Direct Access settings.
