What is the size limit for sending and receiving attachments in email?

Email servers usually restrict the size of attachments it will send or receive.  If your messages with attachments bounce back, it may be that your attachment is too large.

 

 

The size limit for attachments is 20 megabytes (MB) which may be too small for certain attachments.  There are a few things you can do to get your attachments sent:

Even though an attachment may be under our size restriction, it may be over the recipient's size restriction and may bounce back to you.
