Outlook not opening

Problem

Outlook won't open. It previously worked fine but now it won't start.

Solution

  1. Restart the laptop.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl-key while clicking/double-click the Outlook icon. This will try to open Outlook in Safe Mode.
  3. If Outlook opens in Safe Mode, close it and then try opening as normal. 
  4. If Outlook does not open in Safe Mode, or if after opening in Safe Mode it does not open normally, it may be a corrupted local profile and you will need to submit a support request via the Service Desk portal using the Software → Outlook support option.
