How to login to Tableau Server

Tableau Server is the online platform that hosts PATH’s published Tableau workbooks, data sources and dashboards. PATH previously had an internal server and an external server, but those have now been joined under a single server known as tableau.path.org (part of the Health Insights Platform, or HIP).

Steps to Login to Tableau Server

  1. Access Tableau Server in one of the two following ways:

    1. From the Okta app in your browser: After logging in to Okta (work.path.org), click the Tableau Server app/tile. There might be one or two screens that flash by before the Tableau Server login interface appears (image below).

    2. From a direct link (URL): When you connect to a URL (a link) to tableau.path.org and have not been recently authenticated, you will be presented with the Health Insight Platform sign in screen:

  2. Click on the PATH button at the bottom of the screen to authenticate via Okta using your standard PATH login. Once you have completed authentication, you will be redirected to the URL that you had originally entered. If you have never used tableau.path.org before, the first time you login you may see a screen flash by before you are taken into Tableau Server.
