Troubleshooting your PATH Samsung Phone


The following are a few common situations that arise for smartphone users.

 

If you have issues with your phone, it is always recommended to try restarting first.

Problem: I'm on international travel and can’t make calls or access the internet.

Please call AT&T’s International Customer Care center at 1 - 916 - 843 – 4685. It’s a toll free call and the staff are available 24/7. They will help you with steps to troubleshoot your issue. In some cases, if your phone can’t be fixed, they may be able to send you another phone.

Problem: My email isn't syncing on my phone. 

Sometimes reconfiguring your email on your phone will help.

  1. Remove your existing account
    1. From your homepage, swipe down and tap on the settings icon (looks like a wheel).
    2. Tap on Accounts | Microsoft Exchange Active Sync | Settings.
    3. Tap on the trash can icon on the upper right side of the screen.
    4. Tap on the PATH account and then tap Delete.
  2. Re-configure your PATH account.
    1. From your homepage, swipe down and tap on the settings icon (looks like a wheel).
    2. Tap on Accounts | Add Account.
    3. From the list that appears, tap on Microsoft Exchange Active Sync.
    4. Enter your email address and current password, tap Next.
    5. Click OK to start Activation.
    6. It will verify you and then ask to confirm remote security administration. Click Ok.
  3. When prompted with Account options make the following adjustments:

Change “Period to sync email” to All | Change “Email retrieval size” to All | Change “Period to sync calendar” to All Calendar.

     4.  Scroll down to the bottom and tap Next.

     5.  Give your account a name, i.e. PATH and tap Done. 

Problem: I changed my password recently and need to change it on my phone.

Whenever you change your PATH password, you must also immediately change it on your Samsung phone.

  1. With inbox in view, swipe from the top.
  2. Tap on the wheel icon.
  3. Tap on Accounts | Microsoft Exchange Active Sync | Settings.
  4. Tap on your PATH account or email address.
  5. Tap on password.
  6. Change your password.
  7. Tape Save.
  8. Close the screens
