Work.Path.Org - Frequently Asked Questions

 What is work.path.org?

Work.Path.Org is an application portal for staff to manage key PATH, work-related, web-based applications. It uses a secure technology called OKTA, an industry leader used by many large global companies.

 What are the key benefits?

Benefits will continue to grow over time as additional features and applications are added.

  • One place to find and manage your key PATH work applications.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality for many applications.
  • Self-service functionality to change or reset your password.
What other features should I know about?

You can organize your applications into custom tabs.

 Who has access?
PATH staff and PATH contractors with PATH network accounts.
What is the difference between automatically assigned applications, PATH self-service applications and 3rd party applications?
  • Automatically assigned applications are key PATH applications that all staff will see on their primary Work tab.    The type of applications will vary based on your location – i.e. if you work in DC you will see Kaiser insurance, but not Group Health.  Automatically assigned applications cannot be removed from your portal.
  • Self-service applications are additional PATH applications that you can add at your discretion.  These are PATH applications that you might use or that you might use less frequently.  You can add or remove these at any time.
  • 3rd party applications are applications available on the Internet that OKTA has already added to a catalogue.  These range in nature, but primarily represent applications that you would use personally and are able to add to your portal only.  You can add or remove these at any time.
Am I able to add my personal applications? Is it secure?

YES.  3rd party applications can be added.  If you are uncomfortable storing your personal account information within this portal, please note that this is an entirely optional feature intended purely as a benefit for employees.

Is anyone able to see or access my passwords? How does this work?

No.  PATH won’t have any access to your password information.  Password information is encrypted, much like it is when you shop or bank online.

What happens if I leave PATH?

Your work.path.org account would be disabled as part of PATH’s standard of boarding process.   You would no longer be able to access work.path.org.
