Finding your computer name in Windows 7

  1. Go to Start → Computer
  2. In the window showing all your drives, you will see your computer name in the bottom left corner of the window, as shown below.

Finding your computer name in Windows 8.1

  1. Open the charms bar by pressing the Windows Key + C and click or tap Settings.

  2. In Control Panel click System.
  3. In System, you'll find the computer name in the third section, Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings
